The IBFF accepts submissions all year round; deadlines for eligibility for specific festival events are posted here as they are announced.
Funding
Buddhist Film Society is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and offers a program of fiscal sponsorship for eligible film project fundraising. There is also provision for modest grantmaking for subtitling and release funding for overseas films of merit. more>
Distribution and Sales
Festival Media is the distribution arm of BFS. Any film accepted for inclusion in IBFF events that doesn’t have North American distribution (educational and home video/dvd) arrangements in place may apply for distribution through Festival Media. more>
In addition, BFS will launch its retail sales outlet online this fall; producers and distributors with films accepted for IBFF events are invited to consign tapes/dvds and related books or music cds to BFS for sale. Contact Director for more information.
BFS now also offers filmmakers access to its dvd design and production services, including authoring, package design, promotional materials and replication. Contact Director for more information.
